At JC Fine Jewelry, we stand behind the quality of every piece we create and want you to feel completely confident in your purchase. Our goal is to make the process simple, fair, and transparent.

Returns for Ready-Made Jewelry

Items purchased online may be returned or exchanged within 14 days of delivery, provided the piece is:

  • Unworn, unused, and in its original condition
  • Free from any signs of wear, damage, or residue (including under the stones)
  • Returned with all original packaging, certificates, and documentation

In-store purchases may be returned within 7 days of purchase under the same conditions.

Approved returns will be refunded to the original method of payment (online) or issued as store credit (in-store).

Exchanges
  • Online: Exchanges accepted within 14 days of delivery
  • In-store: Exchanges accepted within 20 days

Exchanges are welcome for items of equal or greater value. If exchanging for a lower-priced item, the difference will be issued as store credit.

Custom, Personalized & Made-to-Order Jewelry

Due to their unique nature, the following items are considered final sale and cannot be returned or refunded except in cases of manufacturing defect:

  • Fully custom designs
  • Engraved or personalized items
  • Custom stone selections
  • Made-to-order pieces based on your specifications

Made-to-order items from our existing designs may be eligible for store credit only, subject to inspection and approval.

Financed Purchases

For purchases made using third-party financing:

  • Returns and exchanges remain subject to the same conditions above
  • Any refund will be issued directly to the financing provider
  • You remain responsible for any interest or fees charged by the lender
Restocking Fees & Shipping
  • Shipping and insurance fees are non-refundable, unless the return is due to our error or a verified defect.
  • A restocking fee of up to 10% may apply to eligible returns (always disclosed at checkout).
  • No restocking fee will be charged for defective or incorrect items.

All returns are subject to inspection and final approval by our team.

Defective, Damaged, or Incorrect Items

If you receive an item that is defective, damaged, or not as described, please contact us within 3 days of delivery. We will promptly evaluate the issue and offer a repair, replacement, or full refund at no cost to you.

Resizing & Alterations

We offer one complimentary ring resizing within 30 days of purchase. Additional resizing or alterations may incur a fee. Once an item has been resized or altered, it becomes final sale (except in cases of verified defect).

Deposits & Custom Order Cancellations

Custom orders require a deposit. Up to 50% of the deposit may be non-refundable to cover design, labor, and material costs once production has begun (including CAD work). Full deposit refunds are possible only if production has not started.

Store Credit

Store credit does not expire and can be used on future purchases. It is non-transferable and cannot be redeemed for cash.

How to Initiate a Return

All returns must be pre-approved. Please contact us via email, text, or website chat before sending any item back. Unauthorized returns may not be accepted.

Shipping, Insurance & Risk of Loss

All shipments are fully insured. Once the carrier marks the package as delivered, risk of loss generally transfers to the customer. However, we will reasonably assist with any claims involving loss, theft, or damage in transit.

We reserve the right to update this policy at any time. This policy does not limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.
